Jordan : "This doesn't seem like a Friday."
Angela : "It's Thursday."

Jordan : You know those guys...up in the mountains?
Angela : What guys?
Jordan : Who make snow, like, like, as their job?

Jordan : I would really like to do that.

Angela : I'm supposed to give you a message.
Jordan : From Tino?
Angela : No, from Miss Lerner.
Jordan : Who?
Angela : Miss Lerner? She's been our English teacher for, like,over a month now. Ah, she says you have to start showing up to class, um, or she's going to have you kicked out.
Jordan : So what's the message?
Angela : That you're going to get kicked out of school.
Jordan : Like it's doing so much for me. [Leaves]
Angela : You're welcome! Don't you even care?

Angela : Je dois te délivrer un message.
Jordan : De Tino ?
Angela : Non, de Mme Lerner.
Jordan : Qui ?
Angela : Mme Lerner, notre prof d'anglais depuis, presque un mois maintenant.Ah, elle a dit que tu devais commencer à aller en cours... ou bien elle te fait virer.
Jordan : Donc quel est le message ?
Angela : Que tu risques d'être viré.
Jordan : Comme si ça m'importait.[Il part]
Angela : De rien !Tu t'en fiches ?

1x11 - La vie de Brian

Jordan : See, I have this philosophy.
Angela : You have a philosophy?
Jordan : Well, if I go somewhere and someone I know is there, then cool, there's something -- natural about it. But once you start making plans, then you have like, like obligations -- and that basically blows. So my feeling is, whatever happens, happens.
Angela : I have to say, I really respect that.

Jordan : Écoute, j'ai cette philosophie
Angela : Tu as une philosophie ?
Jordan : Bien, Si je vais quelque part et que je croise une connaissance...C'est cool, ça a un côté naturel. Mais dès que tu commences à planifier, tu as comme des...obligations.Très peu pour moi.  Alors voilà ma philosophie : "ce qui doit arriver arrivera".
Angela : Je dois dire que je la respecte.

Jordan : Why are you like this?
Angela : Like what?
Jordan : Like how you are? [Jordan starts to leave]
Angela : [Calling after him] How am I? How - how am I?

Angela : That all of this happened.  That you have emotions.  That you can't like -- treat me one way in from of your friends and the next  minute leave me some note. [He still does not answer] And by the way, I spell my name with one L.

Angela : Pourquoi es-tu comme ça ?
Jordan : Comme quoi ??

Angela : Que tout ceci est arrivé. Que tu as des émotions. Que tu ne peux pas me traiter d'une façon devant tes copains et la minute d'après,me laisser un mot. [Il ne répond toujours pas] Au fait, mon prénom ne prend qu'un seul "L".
 

1x13 - Un garçon impatient

Graham : Uh, yeah -- yeah. So, uh you, uh you guys are going to a party?
Jordan : Is that what Angela said?
Graham : You mean, you're not?
Jordan : No, we are.
 

Graham : Euh, yeah, Alors, vous allez à une fête ?
Jordan : C'est ce qu'Angela a dit ?

Graham : Tu veux dire que ce n'est pas le cas ?

Jordan : Non, nous y allons.

Jordan : I brought your bike back. Or whoever's it is.
Angela : So are we supposed to say something? Like official, because --
Jordan : You don't have to say anything.
Angela : It's sort of like when you were letting me drive your car. And I loved it -- it made me feel really powerful -- but also really terrified, like I wasn't ready -- for that much freedom.
Jordan : Well -- you should know. I won't hold it against you -- if your name ever comes up.
Angela : Thanks.
Jordan : No sweat.
Angela : Because it - it is a big deal. I mean, because sex made your whole life start, and if you think about life as like a circle or something, then sex and death are the same -- look, I'm not I'm not saying they're the same, I mean, I've thought about having sex with you, and and and God, I've I've never seriously thought of killing you, but --
Jordan : Okay. Okay. At least -- you got in some driving practice.
Angela : Yeah.
Jordan : Just -- ah, don't take your turns too wide, or anything. I'm sure you won't.

Jordan : J'ai ramené ton vélo. A qui il soit.
Angela : Alors, on est censé faire une annonce officielle...
Jordan : Tu n'es pas forcée de parler.
Angela : ça me rappelle quand tu me laissais conduire ta voiture.. J'adorais, je me sentais forte... mais aussi, terrifiée...
comme si je n'étais pas prête pour tant de liberté.
Jordan : Sache que... je ne m'en servirai pas contre toi, si ton nom est évoqué.
Angela :  Merci.
Jordan : De rien.
Angela : Parce que c'est important. Je veux dire, parce que le sexe est au commencement de la vie... et si tu conçois la vie comme un cercle... alors le sexe et la mort ne font qu'un. Non, je ne dis pas...qu'ils sont pareils ! J'ai imaginé faire l'amour avec toi... et jamais je n'ai envisagé de te tuer, cependant...

Jordan : Ok, Ok Au moins, tu auras eu des leçons de conduite. Prends pas tes virages trop larges. Sûr, tu y arriveras.

Jordan : So where we goin'?
Rickie : Uh, uh, let me think -- um --
Jordan : Look, you - you need someplace to crash, I know a place.
Rickie : Thanks.
Jordan : My old man used to knock me around, too.
Rickie : He did?
Jordan : hasn't done in a couple of years, though. He's too scared. 'Cause the last time -- I-I threw a chair at him.
Rickie :  Well, I'm going to light a candle for you on Christmas Eve.
Jordan : Oh, yeah, you think that changes anything?
 

Jordan : On va où ?
Rickie : Laisse-moi réfléchir.

Jordan : Si tu cherches un endroitoù crécher, j'en connais un.
Rickie : Merci

Jordan : Mon vieux aussi avait la main lourde.
Rickie : Ah bon ?
Jordan : Plus depuis une paire d'années. Il a trop peur. Parce que la dernière fois... je lui ai balancé une chaise.
Rickie : J'allumerai un cierge pour toi à Noël.
Jordan : Ah ? Ca changera quelque chose ?

1x16 - Les Bonnes Résolutions

Jordan : Wait a second, isn't tonight, New Year's Eve?

Jordan : Attends, c'est pas ce soir le réveillon ?

Jordan : Yeah I am. It would be different if we were like...but now you're just...you know, a friend or whatever. (beat) I can't do this anymore.

Jordan : Si. Ce serait différent si on était... mais maintenant, on est seulement...amis ou quelque chose comme çà. Il faut qu'on arrête.

Jordan : She would sleep with you.
Brian : What?!

Jordan : She, would sleep, with you.

Brian : Because I gave her my eraser?
 

Jordan : Elle coucherait avec toi.

Brian : Quoi ?
Jordan : - Elle... coucherait... avec toi.

Brian : Pour lui avoir donné une gomme ?

Jordan : You could, have sex with me though..{Angela laughs} if you really want to help. {Angela gets up, laughing} I guess that's a, no.
